Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE) 2012 Call for Papers - C2 Sub-conference of Digital Classroom, Mobile & Ubiquitous Learning GCCCE 2012: http://www.gccce2012.org/index.html Date & Time: 2012.5.30-6.1 @ Kenting, Taiwan 中文版
The proliferation of wireless, mobile and ubiquitous technologies is offering new opportunities to transform the learners' learning methods and experiences. Learning is no longer restricted to face-to-face instructions or distance education. Modern learning theorists have been advocating socio-contructivism, wwhich may come in the forms of collaborative learning, participatory learning, and situated learning, among others. We are keen to explore and conduct in-depth studies on how the integration of wireless and mobile technologies may reinforce social learning, as well as mediating the bridging of formal and informal learning. In this sub-conference, we hope to bring together scholars and practitioners in this area to exchange their thoughts and contributions, and set future directions in mobile and ubiquitous learning.
Basic Themes and Topics (but not restricted to): * Theories of mobile and ubiquitous learning * Development of mobile and ubiquitous learning systems and tools * Development of learning materials for mobile and ubiquitous learning * Mobile and ubiquitous learning activity design * Pedagogies and applications of mobile and ubiquitous learning * Innovative practices of mobile and ubiquitous learning * Analysis of the personal and social learning processes of mobile and ubiquitous learners * Evaluation of the effectiveness of mobile and ubiquitous learning * Constructions of 1:1 mobile learning (seamless learning) environments: including policies, curriculum design, teachers' professional development, students' autonomous learning, etc.
